What is a Hexapeptide?
Hexapeptides are a type of Peptide derived from the Zot sequence. A Hexapeptide is a small molecule that has the ability to penetrate the epidermis. With the ability to act at this level, it’s commonly used as an ‘active’ in skincare.
They work by inhibiting the SNAP receptor which is partly responsible for muscle movements. This partially reduces the ability for the muscles to contract as heavily, and helps to prevent the formation of wrinkles in facial expression zones.
